reenactment of the Jones-Imboden Raid in Rowlesburg, WV, when General W.E. "Grumble" Jones led an attack on the town to destroy the vital B & O railroad bridge and the famous Tray Run Viaduct. Union forces under the command of General Charles Hill defended the town with 250 soldiers and townsmen. Union forces were outnumbered 1500 to 250 but were successful in turning back "Jones' Raiders" and preserving "Lincoln's Lifeline".
Union and Confederate camps will be represented and a weekend full of activities will be presented, along with reenactments of the Battle of Greenland Gap and the Battle of Rowlesburg.

Historic Pennypacker Mills, home of Pennsylvania’s twenty-fifth Governor and Civil War soldier, proudly presents this enactment and living history weekend. Over 140 members of this prestigious Pennsylvania family served in the Civil War as well as the Governor’s cousin, Galusha Pennypacker, known as the Boy General. See daily battles, fascinating speakers, and musical performances, visit the Civilian Street where demonstrations of everyday life are offered, walk through military encampments, meet the Chaplain, witness artillery demonstrations and unit inspections and enjoy Lantern Tours in the evening on Saturday. On Sunday morning, the public is invited to attend church services. This is a FREE event for the general public. Firewood, drinking water, and plenty of ice are offered to reenactors throughout the weekend. Sutler row is offered to both reenactors and the public. |

3rd annual Lehigh Valley Civil War Days will be held at Whitehall Parkway (also known as Camp Geiger) Whitehall, PA. The weekend will include a battle reenactment each day and a Sunday morning tactical. Living History Street with medical demonstration, Lady’s Aid and fashion displays, children’s games and much more. Artillery and cavalry demonstrations. Period music and speakers throughout each day. Free Saturday evening meal for registered reenactors in period dress. Saturday evening candlelight tour of the camps followed by a live night firing. Sutlers and food vendors will be on site to serve reenactors and spectators. Water and wood will be provided. Ice and straw available for small fee. Cavalry, artillery and sutlers by invitation only. Registration fee-$7.00 until April 1st, $10.00 April 2 to May 14th, $15.00 after May 14th. Sutlers fees - $25.00 until May 14th. $50.00 May 15- 30th. No sutler registration after June 1st. We invite everyone to the 18th Annual Battle of Jonesville ,Virginia. Held each year on part of the original Battlefield. The event has been named one of Southwestern Virginias Premiere history events and each year attracts Hundreds of re-enactors from several states. Come experience the beauty of Southwestern Virginias mountains and some good Virginia hospitality.
Two great scripted battles on part of the original battlefield-Union and Confederate Memorial services-David Chaltas in the persona of Gen. Lee) will be guest speaker -Night Artillery Fire-Saturday Evening Meal will be provided-Raffles-Water on site, Plenty of sutlers-Concessions available- Bounties for Artillery & Mounted Cavalry -Union Infantry pre registering 10 or more will be waived registration fee Must be present of field both days)
No one over the rank of Captain without prior approval of event host. Rank must be equivalent to the number of troops pre-registered.

The La Porte County (IN) Historical Society Museum is hosting an Encampment and Living History event. The museum is located at the south edge of La Porte, on Hwy. 35 near the historic Door Prairie Barn. The event will be open to the general public, at no charge, from 9:00 – 4:00 with impromptu demonstrations of camp life, care and use of weapons, and more going on throughout the day. An artillery drill will take place at 11:00 a.m. and a skirmish at 2:00 p.m. Campers are welcome anytime after 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 26.
Plans for the event include a Civil War Ball on Saturday night from 6:00 – 9:00, with food and drink inspired by recipes from the 1860’s. Dancing will be going on to live music by Susan Brown and Company, out front on the verandah. The museum building is designed like an antebellum Greek Revival mansion, surrounded by several acres of lawn, and will be a perfect setting for such an event. The Ball is free to registered reenactors, but a charge applies to the public. No registration fee for reenactors. Firewood, straw, water, and bathroom facilities will be provided. A powder bounty for the first 3 artillery pieces is available.

Annual Hesston Junction Civil War Train Raids. Raiding with a live steam railroad on both Sat and Sun from noon to 5PM CST. Every steam train trip is raided and both sides rotate each trip from train to skirmish field area. Soldiers ride on the trains in there own car next to the passenger coaches. Wood, water, straw and Saturday evening meal provided. Restrooms but no showers. Modern camping is available, no electrical hook ups. Over night also for military encampment. Church service on Sunday. No sutlers or ball. Woman and children are welcomed but no usual CW activities at this time. Ladies are involved in some of the train scenarios and with President Lincoln's activities. This event is not a full blown usual CW reenactment. This event is invitation only due to space and accommodations. We are looking for additional 60 participants (Reenactors) from the Chicago land area and or southwest Michigan/Northern Indiana areas.
